If you are in business and attend networking events or even if you want to keep your clients details in order this is a first class product. It scans in details from your cards and files them into a mini database. It saves a great deal of time, works really well and when peoples details don't come through is easy and quick to manually add. In short it's a brilliant time saver.

I was a bit sceptical about how accurate ocr would be. But this little scanner is one of the best tools I have ever bought. Not infallable and entries do need some checking and the occasional rework but worth every penny. Nigh on 200 entries in one session. Brilliant

What an excellant little scanner, complimented by the provided software. It is easy to use & allows you to modify any details that are missed. The download functions allow the data to be stored on palms & other windows CE based handhelds with ease.
To early to say whether reliability will be an issue, but so far so good & would certainly recommend this item to organise your business cards.

Connect one to use as a universal docking station, enabling an additional full-sized monitor, speakers, keyboard, and mouse over a single USB connection to any Windows laptop (Mac not supported). Connect many DC-125 units to enable many users to share one machine. Requires compatible multiseat OS software such as Fedora 17 Linux (open source, no license required) or commercial Windows Multiseat Server 2011 or Userful Multiseat Linux 2011, license not included.

Connectivity and Technology

A single USB 2.0 cable between PC and dock carries all data and power (for easy USB dock/undock). Standard female VGA/D-Sub port from docking station to monitor drives modes up to 1280x1024 / 1440x900 on any monitor, using internal DisplayLink DL-125 chipset and software drivers provided by DisplayLink (a UK company). Standard 3.5mm audio in and out for stereo speakers and microphone, using internal C-Media chipset and standard USB audio class drivers already in the OS. Two additional free USB 2.0 ports have sufficient power for connecting a USB keyboard and USB mouse only (higher power peripherals not supported).

Scans are automatically saved to a micro SD card (not included). To transfer your scanned documents to a computer, simply connect the Copycat to your computer using the included USB cable and you can drag and drop the files from the micro SD card straight on to your desktop, or add them to existing folders on your computer.
Supported File formats and Exporting

Your scans are saved as a standard jpeg file, which can be inserted into a large number of supporting file types for both Mac and PC. Using the included OCR software (ABBYY Screenshot Reader) for Windows operating systems scanned text can be exported to the following file types
Export text to Clipboard
Export text to Microsoft Word
Export text to File (select your chosen file type from your computer’s drop down menu)
Table to Microsoft Excel
Image to Clipboard
Image to File
Image to Email (image saved as a .bmp file and attached to an email using your default email client
